1. Put each piece to be joined on its own cart
2. Using a diamond wheel make the surface of each piece to be joined completely flat
- a. Rub the red stick on the side to find high spots and grind them down until the side is completely flat
- b. Use an engineering square to ensure the sides are perpendicular to the top surface
3. Cut grooves in the sides to help the glue bond better
4. Push the pieces together to make sure they are completely flush (DO NOT glue them together, this is done in the field)
